Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our busy trauma level 3 Emergency Room team in rural northeast Oregon. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with a full-time ER physician and collaborate with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals.

Overview

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you'll be responsible for assessing, prescribing, delegating, coordinating, and evaluating patient care. You'll work closely with our team to ensure high-quality care for our patients, utilizing the nursing process and established standards of care. As a leader on our team, you'll be responsible for the written Nursing Care Plan, acting as a patient advocate, and supervising personnel assigned to you.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong assessment, prescribing, and delegation skills
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs)
• Knowledge of trauma care and critical care principles
• BLS/CPR certification
• Experience with patient education and discharge planning

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• 5+ years of experience in an Emergency Room setting

Other Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training
• Valid driver's license (not required but preferred)
