We are seeking a full-time Nutrition Specialist to enhance health outcomes for clients at our facility.The Nutrition Specialist will develop and deliver personalized nutritional guidance aimed at promoting health and managing diseases.Essential Responsibilities: Deliver engaging verbal and written nutritional education tailored to clients' individual health backgrounds, nutritional needs, and cultural considerations.Analyze medical records to understand client health status and craft comprehensive nutrition care plans.Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurse practitioners, to identify effective nutritional interventions for clients.Monitor and evaluate the impact of nutritional strategies on client health, adjusting care plans as necessary.Provide counseling and education to empower clients to modify their eating habits positively.Contribute insights in developing program policies and procedures related to nutrition.Share drug-nutrient interaction knowledge to enhance client care outcomes.Participate in training and staff meetings, leading health education programs as needed.Maintain precise records in compliance with regulatory agency requirements.Conduct initial and follow-up assessments within established timelines according to policy.Facilitate presentations to clients to highlight the importance of nutrition in health.Engage in ongoing education to stay informed about the latest trends in nutrition and community health.Complete mandatory training, including topics such as fire safety and infection control.Uphold client confidentiality to protect sensitive health information.Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education Requirement: Master's DegreeLicensure/Certification Requirements:Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN)Current New York State LicenseCPR/BLS CertificationSalary Range: $53,835.60 to $60,587.80 annually.At Sun River Health, we value equal opportunity and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.
