Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Complete nursing assessment of patients in the Radiology department
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to plan and coordinate patient care
Monitor patients' responses throughout procedures
Administer medications as ordered
Initiate intravenous access lines and monitor vital signs
Administer special dyes/contrast mediums
Perform barium enemas/solutions prior to procedures
Administer analgesia and sedation as ordered
Reassess patients after procedures and provide care until discharge
Maintain cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
Transport patients as needed
Follow hospital safety policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
One year of recent experience as Diagnostic Radiology RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
Current PALS (AHA/ARC) Certification
Current Radiology Nursing Certification (CRN)
Other certifications and licenses may be required
