Location: Waukesha, WI

Shift: 3x12s (Days or Nights, depending on facility needs)
Pay: $2,381/week

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a travel contract in Waukesha, WI. The Med Surg RN will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote positive health outcomes. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions.
Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Respond effectively to emergencies and perform interventions as required.
Uphold infection control and patient safety practices at all times.

Qualifications:

Current and valid RN license in the state of Wisconsin (or compact license).
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
Minimum of 1 year recent Med Surg nursing experience (travel experience preferred).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
COVID vaccine and recent TB test (as required by facility).
