Job Description
Join Beacon Brook Center for Health & Rehabilitation as an MDS Director, where you will manage MDS assessments, ensure compliance, and contribute to personalized resident care. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to positively impact the lives of aging residents in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for resident care plans
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for MDS completion
Lead and oversee the MDS program
Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) scores
Train and mentor MDS Coordinators
Coordinate comprehensive resident assessments and care planning
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for accurate data collection
Track and analyze assessment data for compliance and optimization
Drive continuous improvement in nursing care
Required Qualifications
Valid state RN license preferred
Direct care in a long-term care setting and/or MDS Coordinator experience required
Proficient in state and federal regulations governing the MDS and billing process
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR), PDP, MDS 3.0, Medicaid and Medicare requirements
Strong organizational skills and analytical capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or certification preferred
Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and chronically ill
