Job Description
Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll provide essential treatments to patients, evaluate their needs, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Your expertise will help restore function and improve lives, making a significant impact in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards.
Conducts and modifies evaluations to establish individualized goals.
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques.
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques.
Educates patients/families in home exercise programs.
Determines when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment.
Documents in accordance to insurance guidelines.
Fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care.
Fills out and submits charges daily.
Adheres to professional code of ethics established by ASHA.
Supervises affiliated students and attends continuing education courses.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic personal computer skills in Windows based programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Access to reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites.
