York VA Medical Ctr located in Murfreesboro, TN and Nashville campus,1310 24th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37212 * *Qualifications* * For medical laboratory technicians, associate degree and AMT or ASCP certification as Medical Laboratory Technician is required.
*Contract Length:* Up to 5 years *Schedule*: Regular work hours for Alvin C. York are 08:00am – 4:30pm: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Regular work hours for Nashville are Third Shift, work hours 3:30 pm – 7:00 am, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, including some week-ends and holidays. *Location: *Alvin C. York VA Medical Ctr, 3400 Lebanon Rd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 and the *Nashville campus* 1310 24th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37212
*Qualifications:* * Must meet VA Handbook 5005/72 Part II Appendix G24 Medical Qualification Standards. Basic education requirements are a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, or in a related science. * Must currently possess appropriate certification as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT). * Have a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Technologist at an acute care facility. * Must also possess current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
