Key Responsibilities
Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations
Facilitate the flow of legitimate trade and travel
Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances
Determine the admissibility of individuals for entry into the U.S.
Prevent illegal entry and smuggling of contraband
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
Age under 40 at referral time (some exceptions apply)
One year of specialized experience or relevant education
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher
LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university
