Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds: 46

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Clinical Nurse Coordinators (charge nurse), RNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs, Unit Clerks -skill mix based on patient census)

· Type of equipment: GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, Glucometer

· Documentation system: Meditech Expanse

· Scheduling requirements: Every other Weekend, three 12-hour shifts per week

· Floating policy: May float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg), or to PCU (to staff tele overflow)

· Patient Experience requirements: At least two years of Progressive care or ICU experience

Certifications: Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS required, current NIH (must be certified annually)

Requested Skill Set: CPap and BiPap management, Port access, therapeutic phlebotomy Must have: Telemetry and EKG interpretation, post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience, experience with Cardiac and anti-arrhythmic IV infusions management and titration, CPap and BiPap management Advanced skills needed: preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions Procedures performed on unit: telemetry monitoring, paracentesis (physician led), BiPap, therapeutic phlebotomy Certifications Required: Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS required, current NIH (must be certified annually)
