Key Responsibilities
Apply Human Engineering knowledge and principles to complex systems
Define system performance requirements for safe human operation
Develop and implement research methodologies for testing prototypes
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate HE considerations into system design
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Cognitive Psychology or related field
Level 4 - Bachelor's degree and 9+ years' experience or Master's and 7+ years OR Level 5 - Bachelor's degree and 14+ years' experience or Master's and 12+ years
7+ years of work experience in Human Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Certification from Board Certification in Professional Ergonomics
Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree in engineering, psychology, human factors or related field
Understanding of Human System Integration (HSI) in the defense acquisition process
Knowledge of military standards related to human engineering
Ability to derive Human Engineering requirements
4+ years of experience supporting defense programs
Experience in Human Modeling and user interface software prototyping tools
Experience with Usability software
Knowledge in Human Perception and Cognition
Experience in workload assessments and situation awareness assessments
Experience in conducting tasks analyses
Experience in Agile Development
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
