Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator, where you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting a collaborative care team. This position focuses on patient interaction, administrative duties, and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and direct them to appropriate departments
Answer phone lines, direct calls, and take messages as needed
Verify patient information and insurance eligibility; collect payments
Direct patients to complete forms and process patient-related paperwork
Inform the provider’s assistant of no-shows and cancellations
Make follow-up appointments for patients and call patients to confirm appointments
Reschedule appointments as appropriate
Perform various front-office duties in a fast-paced, customer-oriented clinical environment as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service experience
1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with medical insurance
Prior experience with EMR computer applications
Working knowledge of general office procedures
