Job Description
Lincoln Electric seeks a Mechanical Plant Engineer to design, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes and equipment. This role is crucial for solving technical challenges and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in operations.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate in a team environment to execute capital projects
Take responsibility for the mechanical aspects of projects
Develop engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety
Create and maintain sustainable documentation
Design solutions that comply with environmental initiatives
Provide capital cost estimates and establish project timelines
Deliver technical support to Production and Maintenance departments
Coordinate with process engineering, production, maintenance, and supply management teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Strong desire to take ownership of tasks and deliver results
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Flexibility to handle diverse assignments
Ability to perform hands-on work
Technically proficient in CAD modeling (Solid Edge; AutoCAD preferred)
Willingness to travel between facilities in Northeast Ohio
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing processes
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and Environmental Health and Safety standards
