Job Description
The physician provides direct professional services in the evaluation and treatment of clients in order to evaluate, diagnose and treat the entire range of psychiatric and substance use disorders. You will provide continuing medication management for assigned clients as well as functioning as the medical team representative on a multidisciplinary treatment team designed to offer comprehensive behavioral health services. You will work in a collaborative manner with Advanced Practice Nurses and other members of the care team.

As a Physician- MD/DO, you will provide direct professional services in the evaluation and treatment of clients in an outpatient environment at a community mental health center. The primary focus of this position will be providing comprehensive care inclusive of mental health, substance use and physical health care needs. Maintain documentation consistent with SummitStone quality assurance procedures and clinical performance standards.Monitor and evaluate the quality of medical and therapeutic services provided.Provide direct psychiatric treatment for clients.Comply with County, State and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to mental health care.Maintain medical staff privileges at designated hospital as required.Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited university.
Demonstrated commitment and experience working with persons from marginalized communities and other patient populations experiencing vulnerabilities.
Appropriate medical license in the State of Colorado required.
