Join MJHS as an On-Call Registered Nurse, where you'll provide critical support for patients and families facing life-limiting conditions. Your expertise will help ensure safe and compassionate care during urgent situations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-call patient visits for urgent physical and psycho-social issues
Coordinate with Call Center Triage and On Call Manager
Respond to Triage visit requests via cell phone
Communicate with the on-call team and Hospice physician
Implement and educate on the plan of care, including medication management
Attend patient deaths to provide emotional support to family
Report to triage and primary Hospice team on patient visits and care changes
Required Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
New York State RN licensure
At least two years experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health, Hospice or Oncology nursing
Preferred Qualifications
NYS valid driver's license
Willingness to sit for the national board certification CHPN within one year of hire
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Windows applications
