Senior Accountant
Compensation: $80K–$95K + 10% bonus with great benefits
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant with a public accounting background, who specializes in inventory accounting and revenue recognition. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-directed, and capable of managing day-to-day accounting tasks while supporting monthly and annual closings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile inventory-related transactions and accounts
- Apply proper revenue recognition practices in line with GAAP
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including AP and AR
- Perform month-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in preparing supporting documentation for financial audits
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and digital file organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
- Support ad hoc financial projects and reporting requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally from a public accounting firm
- Good hands-on experience with inventory and revenue recognition
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and Excel
- Experience with Bill.com, SharePoint, or e-commerce platforms is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work with multiple legal entities is preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience with fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Familiarity with audit preparation and financial compliance
- Knowledge of e-commerce accounting (Amazon, Shopify, etc.) is a plus
- CRM or ERP system experience (Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.) desirable
