Job Description
As a Medical Science Liaison at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, you will play a crucial role in developing relationships with key opinion leaders, providing scientific support, and contributing to the advancement of innovative cancer therapies. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage in impactful medical education initiatives, all while working remotely in the Southern OH, KY, and WV regions.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers
Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with US Medical Affairs plans
Provide scientific support for medical education and other activities
Maintain a high-level knowledge of the therapy area and Jazz products
Support the development of Jazz Pharmaceuticals' positioning as a scientific authority
Contribute to the development of the US Medical Plan and manage relevant budget
Document and report adverse events and product complaints
Required Qualifications
Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Oncology Medicine
License (RN, NP, CNP, PA or equivalent) with a minimum of a Master's Degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in oncology medicine
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a MSL or comparable industry or clinical role
Ability to research and critically analyze and communicate complex scientific and medical information and data
Clear and concise communication and presentation skills
Excellent planning and organization skills
Strong strategic mindset
Highly self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
Ability to learn quickly, be flexible and results-focused
Excellent negotiation skills
Demonstrated skills in inter-personal relationship building, networking, collaboration and teamwork
Strong capabilities working with digital platforms and tools
Excellent command of spoken English
Ability and willingness to travel at least 60% of workdays
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of geography, healthcare environment and external experts in academia and medical community
Demonstrated ability to develop trust and relationships with opinion leaders
Understanding of regulatory requirements for field-based personnel
Experience in oncology
Experience as a Medical Science Liaison with a strong track record of success
