• End Date: February 7, 2026
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks
• Shift: 7A-7P (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 48 (4x12 hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state
• Minimum 5 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (must be obtained within 90 days of start)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be obtained within 90 days of start)
• EKG proficiency required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing for young adult, adult, and elderly patients in the ICU
• Manage airway (basic and advanced), pain control, cardiac monitoring, and post-operative vascular surgery recovery
• Deliver neurological, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, renal, and skin care to critically ill patients
• Administer specialized IV drips, medications, blood transfusions, and invasive monitoring
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced ICU equipment
• Lead and respond to Code Blue and emergency situations
• Document patient histories, conditions, treatments, and responses accurately
• Educate patients and families, develop teaching plans, and evaluate learning outcomes
• Supervise and mentor healthcare staff; serve as preceptor for new ICU nurses
• Participate in performance improvement and maintain ICU competencies
• Follow infection control, safety, and personnel guidelines
• Assist with patient transport and perform housekeeping duties as needed
