Job Description: Labor & Delivery Nurse
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor & Delivery Nurse for a 13-week contract in a reputable healthcare facility located in Knox, Ohio. This position involves 3 shifts of 12 hours each (07:00 - 19:00) and requires immediate availability for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, ensuring the well-being of mother and baby.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures as necessary.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems.
Qualifications
- Current and valid nursing license in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
- ACLS and NRP certifications are required.
- Previous charge experience is a plus.
- Ability to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed.
Additional Information
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with medical or religious exemptions only.
- Non-billable training modules will be included, and completion of these is expected before the contract begins.
- Guaranteed hours for the duration of the contract.
