Registered Nurse – PCU (Float to Med/Surg/Tele)
Location: Burlington, MA
Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM & 7:00 PM–7:00 AM), 36 hours/week
Assignment: 3x12s with every other weekend and holiday rotation


Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry with the flexibility to float between units based on patient care needs. Candidates must have experience in titrating pressors, managing vasoactive drips, and caring for patients on high-flow oxygen and BiPAP.


Requirements:

  • Active Massachusetts RN License (required at time of submission)
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
  • ASN (minimum education requirement)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of recent inpatient RN experience
    • At least 2 years in PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry within a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to pass a Telemetry competency test on the first day (pass/fail)
  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (declinations not accepted)
  • Must not have worked at any Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) facility within the past 6 months
  • Local candidates not accepted

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in PCU, Med/Surg, or Telemetry units as assigned
  • Manage and titrate vasoactive medications and pressors
  • Monitor patients on telemetry, high-flow oxygen, and BiPAP
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all hospital policies
