Key Responsibilities
Diagnoses and repairs medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers
Completes overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
Performs preventative maintenance and standard inspections on fleet diesel equipment
Inspects brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings
Completes documentation for work orders through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
Installs, replaces, and repairs onboard computers
Trains and provides guidance to other Mechanics
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
5 - 7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience
2 years’ experience in refrigeration and/or overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with computerized diagnostics
Electrical troubleshooting
Electronic component repair
