Job Description
Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse III in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit, where you will provide compassionate care to patients and their families. Utilize your nursing expertise to implement treatment plans and collaborate with a dedicated team to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Implements physician orders and administers medications
Starts IVs and performs treatments and procedures
Orders and evaluates diagnostic tests
Assesses patient needs and responses to care
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborates with nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Directs and guides ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication skills
Strong prioritization and organizational skills
Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques
