Key Responsibilities
Create effective lesson plans accommodating various student levels
Oversee and direct paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom
Manage the classroom's Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) program
Maintain a classroom environment prioritizing student engagement and safety
Attend IEP meetings and write updates for each student's annual IEP
Collaborate with staff and outside agencies to educate each student
Plan instruction and conduct summative assessments
Participate in ongoing professional development activities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Valid Special Education Credential
2-5 years working with students with learning and/or social-emotional needs
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Special Education
Educational Specialist Credential in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe disabilities
