As a Navy Chaplain, you'll provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines, conducting worship services and counseling individuals in need. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of service members during both joyful and challenging times.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings, funeral services, and baptisms
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs like Sunday school and youth groups
Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel and their families
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services, retreats, and conferences
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
