Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Step-Down (Neuro ICU Stepdown)

💵 Pay: $49–$56 per hour
🕒 Schedule: Full-time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3×12-hr shifts
📅 Weekends & Holidays: Required as needed
🌀 Float: Yes, to like units

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neuro ICU Step-Down Unit with a focus on Neuro/Stroke/Neurosurgery patients. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document patient care based on individualized needs
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Assist providers with diagnostics, treatments, and patient procedures
• Deliver therapeutic nursing interventions and manage complex patient conditions
• Document care based on standards, acuity, and clinical priorities
• Provide evidence-based, patient-centric care
• Float to units within competency as required
• Support and advocate for best practice standards in nursing & care delivery
• Participate in ongoing evaluation and improvement of patient care
• Step-down focus: Cardiac Vascular & Post-Surgical Step-Down

Required Qualifications

✅ ASN (Associate Degree in Nursing)
✅ Current NJ RN License or Compact License
✅ BLS (AHA)
✅ ACLS (AHA)
✅ NIHSS Certification
✅ Telemetry Competency
✅ 4-hour Stroke CEU
✅ Minimum 2 years RN experience in MS/Tele in major acute care setting
✅ Strong MS/Tele background
✅ Epic EMR experience

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ BSN
⭐ 5+ years RN experience
⭐ Ventilator experience
⭐ Post-cardiac & post-surgical experience
⭐ Neuro/Stroke/Neurosurgery background
