This role is for a licensed Audiologist conducting medical assessments of U.S. Veterans for disability benefits claims at the VA. The Audiologist performs hearing tests such as Maryland CNC and Puretone Audiometric tests, reviews medical records, and completes Disability Benefits Questionnaires without prescribing treatments. The position is part-time, in-person, and involves assessing 3-6 veterans per day with no evenings, on-call duties, or sales responsibilities.

Would you find it rewarding to serve the Veteran community? We are looking for an Audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. The Veteran files the claim before they see you. All of their medical records are uploaded into a computer portal and you will be able to review these during the appointment. You will conduct a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. The Audiologist will complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the computer portal. This forms the medical evidence that allows the VA to decide the veteran’s benefits. Audiologist will NOT prescribe any medical treatments or devices. This position will review and assess 3-6 Veterans per day on average. Schedule: Part Time (Tuesdays & Fridays 8a-4p, with travel to Tifton as needed) This is an IN-PERSON position that offers: 1 hour to 1 hour & 30 minutes per patient.
