Join The Jewish Board as a Case Planner, where you'll make a meaningful impact by providing preventive services to families at risk. You'll work closely with families in their communities, conducting assessments and offering essential support to ensure the safety and well-being of children. This role blends clinical skills with community engagement to help families thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Child Welfare Preventive Services in clients' homes and communities
Assess and address safety and risk concerns related to children's health and well-being
Evaluate living conditions through home visits
Provide supportive casework counseling
Collaborate with external resources and community members
Complete and update Family Assessment Service Plan Reports (FASP)
Monitor children regarding their medical needs
Participate in Family Team Conferences (FTCs)
Carry caseload size as identified by program service model
Required Qualifications
BA or Masters level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related subject
Basic social work knowledge and understanding of stages of change
Ability to provide in-home child welfare services
Ability to establish rapport and therapeutic relationship with families
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of the use of family therapy principles
Understanding of early childhood development and related theories
Strong assessment skills to evaluate family dynamics
Knowledge and experience with the Connections system
