As a Clinical Nurse III in the PACU at Albany Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in creating a compassionate environment for patients and their families. Your expertise will contribute to effective patient care management, collaboration with healthcare teams, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Implement physician orders and administer medications
Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for patients
Direct and guide ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree)
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools
