Job Description
Join Christus Health as a Certified Surgical Technologist, where you'll play a vital role in patient care by preparing and supporting patients during surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and care for pre-operative patients
Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor for breaches
Transport patients to and from the Operating Room
Position patients according to the type of surgery
Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies
Establish and maintain the sterile field
Pass instruments and sutures to the physician
Ensure preference cards are up to date
Maintain a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practices
Demonstrate clinical expertise in the use and care of surgical supplies and equipment
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of the Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program
BLS certification
Certification of Surgical Technologist within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License
