Key Responsibilities
Investigate the fundamental limits of existing QCVV approaches
Identify avenues for improvement and extensions of existing QCVV protocols
Develop and implement accurate and efficient QCVV protocols using advanced techniques
Interpret and map QCVV metrics to physical/device properties and quantum algorithm performance
Trace high-level performance to physical properties and validate improvements
Work closely with the experimental team on QCVV protocols
Required Qualifications
PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics or closely related field
1+ years of post-doctoral (or equivalent) experience in quantum information science
Experience with common qubit benchmarking and tomographic protocols
Experience with programming and software development
Proven record of research accomplishments and publications in quantum information science
Willingness to travel to sponsor sites, conferences, workshops
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-performance computing
Experience with methods for classical simulation of quantum systems
Experience in machine learning and its application to QCVV
Experience with common signal processing and estimation theory techniques
Experience with quantum error correction
Experience working closely with experimentalists
Proven record of impactful research accomplishments
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance
