Job Description
Join New Directions Mental Health as a Child and Adolescent Therapist and make a significant impact in the field of behavioral health. You will work in a supportive environment that fosters growth and development while providing high-quality care to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families
Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy
Develop comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, and wellness plans
Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning
Ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, and treatment plans
Engage in collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field
Experience in working with children and families
Provisional license per state regulation (if required)
Educational background that leads to or has resulted in professional licensing
Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality
Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families
Ability to manage time effectively and complete documentation and administrative tasks efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
Passionate about mental health and committed to providing high-quality care
Dedicated to ongoing professional development in mental health including free supervision and continuing education
