Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will possess solid emergency nursing skills and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The role involves the assessment, treatment, and management of patients in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Triage and assess patients presenting to the emergency department.
- Administer medications and IV therapy as per hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and interpret dysrhythmias.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EMR - Meditech.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all via AHA).
- Preferred certifications: CPI/CIC; travelers can complete CPI if staying longer than 3 months.
- Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy is preferred.
Interdisciplinary Support
Support services include Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary.
