Job Description

As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support to Sailors and Marines, conducting services and counseling during both joyful and challenging times. With opportunities for education and a range of benefits, this role allows you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of service members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct worship services in various settings
  • Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings, funeral services, and baptisms
  • Counsel individuals seeking guidance
  • Oversee religious education programs
  • Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel and their families
  • Train lay leaders for religious education programs
  • Promote attendance at religious services, retreats, and conferences
  • Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
  • Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
