Job Description

Join Cooper University Health Care as a Patient Services Representative (Per Diem) and be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while managing registrations and appointments. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient experience through effective communication and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and provides excellent service using AIDET
  • Performs full registration and updates demographic information
  • Utilizes technology to assist patients upon arrival
  • Makes and schedules appointments efficiently
  • Collects co-pays and reconciles cash drawer
  • Communicates effectively with multidisciplinary team members and patients
  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility
  • Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication, and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations, and referrals
  • Epic experience
  • NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification
