As a Medical Records Technician, you will support the Health Services Director by maintaining clinical records and implementing procedures. Your role is crucial in ensuring compliance and facilitating proper patient information management.
Key Responsibilities
Gather patient information from various sources
Maintain master patient index and complete daily audit trail
Retrieve medical records for authorized professionals
Document and communicate actions and irregularities
Work with state officials during surveys
Perform quantitative and qualitative audits for compliance
Conduct Medication Admin Record (MAR) Audit
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a certificate or 2-year associate's degree in MT or HIM or 3-5 years equivalent experience
Two years or more experience in medical records
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed RHIT, CPC or CCS with coding experience
Licensed as Registered Health Information Technician
