Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Must have Level 1 trauma experience
• Work 4 total weekend shifts per 4-week period (3 of 4 weekend shifts in 4-week period)
• Work 2 out of 4 major holidays
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 depending on acuity of assignment
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Complete pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Must have own vehicle
• Scrub color: Navy
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Interpret EKGs using Philips monitors
• Float to other telemetry units including T5, T6, and Neuro Tele
• 3-day floor-specific orientation
• Care for cardiac stepdown, lung transplant, chest pain, MI, pre-transplant, esophagectomy, ER overflow, and detox patients
• Work with non-titrating drips
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
