Job Description
Join Disneyland Resort as a Senior Controls Engineer, where you will design and troubleshoot PLC software for attractions, lead technical projects, and mentor early career talent. Embrace a dynamic environment that fosters innovation and enhances guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to attraction downtimes and support urgent engineering needs
Develop scope for reliability improvement efforts including design and documentation
Monitor downtime trends for targeted reliability improvements
Plan and coordinate technical aspects of Sustaining Engineering tasks
Investigate and troubleshoot control system performance
Perform hazard analyses including fault tree analysis and FMEA
Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Controls Systems within amusement parks or industrial environments
Ride element performance analysis (dynamic, kinematic, hydraulic, pneumatic)
Knowledge of electronic control systems and signal processing
Experience with electrical motor controls and various industrial automation PLCs
Familiarity with National and California Electrical Code
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Object-oriented programming in C/C++
Ladder logic and wiring/interconnect diagrams
Knowledge of ANSI, ASTM, and IEEE standards
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
California Professional Registration
Experience in controls circuit design and troubleshooting
Familiarity with PDL and ICL programming languages
Knowledge of safety PLCs and industrial controls
Experience with audio/visual systems
Understanding of system reliability
Scripting skills in C, VB, JS, etc.
