Job Description

Kaiser is seeking a Chemical Dependency Recovery Counselor III to provide essential addiction therapy and counseling services to patients and their families. This part-time role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and participating in case conferences, all aimed at supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answers and triages patient calls for information, Tx services, general CD advice
  • Provides higher level assessment for various diagnoses and crises
  • Performs intake and psychosocial assessments
  • Develops and presents treatment plans to the treatment team
  • Participates in clinical case conferences
  • Conducts chemical dependency focused educational lectures
  • Provides individual and group counseling services
  • Provides therapy for adolescents, significant others, families, and multi-family groups
  • Provides case management services
  • May mentor junior counselors and interns

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate relevant supervised addiction medicine therapy experience within the last five (5) years
  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or other field related to behavioral health
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
