Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Normal, Illinois.
Cath Lab/Special Procedures RN Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM On-Call: Every 3rd weekend + 4–8 weekday on-call shifts per month Contract Length: 20 weeks Job Summary: The RN performs all required responsibilities and duties in accordance with the scope of service for the unit. This includes implementing procedures and nursing theories relevant to cardiac and special procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining clear, accurate documentation to support interdisciplinary care. Key Responsibilities: Complete initial assessments and develop patient-centered plans of care based on unit standards and patient/family needs Implement and regularly update care plans, nursing interventions, and procedures Provide care for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients Administer medications, manage pain, perform IV venipuncture, blood administration, and monitor labs Prepare patients for procedures, and ensure safe, high-quality care Use EMR systems for thorough documentation Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure completion Address and report safety hazards or incidents to maintain a safe environment Communicate effectively with team members and patients, using professional conflict resolution and feedback techniques Support peer development and engage in continuous learning to expand knowledge and meet competency requirements Apply Now!!
