Job Description
Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse III in the Post Anesthesia Care unit, where you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients and families. You'll implement physician orders, manage medications, and collaborate with the nursing team to ensure quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Implements physician orders and administers medications
Starts IVs and performs treatments, procedures, and special tests
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
Assesses and evaluates patient needs
Applies nursing judgment in patient care management
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborates with nursing team on patient care plans
Directs and guides ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques
