*****THIS IS A TELE POSITION, REQUIRING TELE SKILLS - PLEASE READ BELOW*****
**Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, through UNA, only (with 2 max attempts). If they fail, they will be made a DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions.
**There is also a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation. If they fail, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months.

Required certifications BLS, ACLS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily M
S/Tele Experience or 'Must have' skills Must have a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years.
Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters. (Please confirm this experience on notes- updated cardiac gtts per Tracey 1.29.20 KR)
Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical. (MS/Tele travlers DO NOT need prior travel experience,
Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
Common titratable &/or set rate drips Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone Charge Nurse/House Supervisor ED charge nurse.
Ability to self-schedule; however this could change from time to time.
Weekend Requirement 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.
Holiday Requirement Rotate in with the perm staff
Is there a call or standby requirement? No call required
Floating Requirements Would float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC Eds as needed.
Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy
Unit/Department specific orientation 2 shifts orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus.
