Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-service jurisdictional inspections of boilers and pressure vessels
Evaluate and confer with clients on inspection findings
Perform inspections of varying scope at low exposure locations and occupancies
Travel approximately 30% of the time
Required Qualifications
BS in Engineering, associate degree from a 2-year technical school, or high school diploma (or equivalent)
Meet National Board In-Service commission qualification requirements
Acquire a passing score on the National Board Exam
Acquire a National Board Commission and certification from at least one jurisdiction within 12 months
Experience in boiler and pressure vessel construction, operation, and inspection
Understanding of management systems and nondestructive methods
Preferred Qualifications
National Board and state certifications
Qualification to review repairs in accordance with the NBIC and FMIC requirements
