Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Special Education Paraprofessional to support diverse learners in a mission-driven school community. You'll implement individualized plans, provide behavioral support, and collaborate with educators to enhance student engagement and success.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement
Collaborate with teachers to maintain an inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff for consistent support
Support with personal care or hygiene as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behaviour Technician experience
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid certification
CPI or Pro Act Training
