Key Responsibilities
Collect specimens from patients, ensuring their safety and comfort
Input and assess information via computer systems accurately
Follow safety procedures and respond to safety violations
Process specimens including sorting, aliquoting, and labeling
Restock supplies and maintain a clean work area
Communicate with patients courteously and timely
Perform account registrations and orders tests in multiple systems
Conduct Point of Care (POC) testing if assigned
Instruct new employees and students on procedures
Complete required competencies and training
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
3 Month phlebotomy certificate program
