Summary:

As the Vice President of Security, you are responsible for leading the strategic direction and operational excellence of Security Department. This role plays a key part in shaping and executing initiatives that safeguard the property, team members, and guests while ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional guest service. You will oversee department operations, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate with property leadership to implement innovative, service-oriented security practices.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Security department, ensuring alignment with company vision, financial goals, and service standards

Evaluate and revamp Security department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current practices

Recruit, develop, coach, mentor, and retain high-performing leadership teams and team members to foster engagement, accountability, and professional growth

Lead the execution of company and departmental initiatives by converting strategic objectives into actionable plans with defined performance indicators

Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and operational performance metrics; drive cost-efficiency and control overtime costs while maintaining safety, guest service, and compliance

Investigate security incidents, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies

Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to align security efforts with enterprise-wide safety, risk strategies, and emergency preparedness

Promote a strong guest service culture by designing and maintaining service standards and resolving escalated concerns with sound judgment

Oversee the operation and compliance of physical security systems, surveillance technology, and emergency response protocols

Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position

Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

Act as a liaison between state and federal law enforcement and the Nevada Gaming Control Board

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in casino, resort, or hospitality security, law enforcement, or related field

Demonstrated success in managing large teams, multi-shift operations, or complex projects in a high-volume environment

In-depth knowledge of local and state laws, Gaming Minimum Internal Control Standards, and Nevada Revised Statutes

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to deescalate sensitive situations professionally

Proven ability to lead during emergencies, crises, or high-pressure situations

Strong organizational and analytical skills, including budget development and workforce planning

Experience with security technologies and systems used in casino, resort, or hospitality environments

Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain composure under pressure

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiar with analytics tools and business intelligence platforms

Certification in Security Management (CPP, CPO, PSP, PCI) preferred

Requirements

This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for marijuana

At least 21 Years of Age

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred

Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

Verify right to work in the United States
