Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with a diagnosis of sepsis
Round with physicians with diagnosis of sepsis and review clinical data
Provide education and clinical expertise to care team, patients, and families
Collaborate with physicians and staff to decrease mortality and length of stay
Identify and integrate patient learning needs into the Plan of Care
Develop and implement individualized teaching plans for patients and families regarding Sepsis diagnosis
Collect and analyze sepsis program patient data to assist with documentation, clinical care, and improved outcomes
Participate in rounds and respond to patient needs to improve outcomes
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required
3 years of related clinical experience required
Knowledge of systems understanding, performance improvement tools/methodology, and facilitation/teaching skills
Current BLS required
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field preferred
