This position seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in urgent care at Geisinger ConvenientCare in Mount Carmel, PA. Job Title: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Urgent Care up to $27,800 incentivesGeisinger ConvenientCare (urgent care) clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. Routine health exams, immunizations, screenings and wellness services are also provided.

Geography Stipend – $7,800 - guaranteed for 1 year after which time the stipend is evaluated for continuance (not applicable for internal, lateral transfer)
Attractive schedule
Office Hours - Monday - Friday 8:45 am – 8:15 pm Saturday & Sunday 7:45 am – 6:15 pm14 rotating shifts/month; work every other weekend
No overnight shifts and no mandated additional shifts
Call approximately six nights per year
Six observed holidays - Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
Work autonomously with limited administrative burden

Experience is required - Due to the autonomous nature of the position, advanced practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one and older and have a minimum of six months advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.
