Job Description
Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse II in the Med/Surg Float Pool, where you'll provide compassionate care and support to patients and families. This role is vital in implementing care plans and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Implements physician orders and administers medications
Starts IVs and performs treatments, procedures, and special tests
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Directs and guides ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
