Key Responsibilities
Label documentation of FFPE blocks, slides, and microcentrifuge tubes
Perform routine sectioning, fixation, and processing procedures
Prepare and perform processing procedures for DNA and RNA extraction
Accession and enter data of received patient samples
File and store all slides and FFPE tissue blocks
Maintain all histology equipment and documentation
Perform routine and non-routine histology procedures
Interact with pathologists and laboratory staff
Provide technical assistance to other staff
Assist in training team members
Required Qualifications
Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program
2+ years of laboratory experience
Basic computer skills
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
Possession of active ASCP Board of Certification, such as HT ASCP, HLT ASCP
1+ years of experience in a histology laboratory
