Job Description
Join Raytheon as a Senior Manufacturing Development Engineer, where you'll lead projects and improve manufacturing processes. Utilize your engineering expertise to develop impactful solutions that enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions and workflow
Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs
Provide technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers
Apply manufacturing engineering skillsets to resolve constraints
Serve as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program
Recommend process and procedural changes for cost, efficiency, and quality
Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to improve product producibility
Identify and resolve constraints across the program
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering)
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Experience working in manufacturing production
Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints
Technical drawing interpretation and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude
Experience with technical writing and improving technical drawings
Experience with MRP systems
Experience with Manufacturing Readiness Assessments
Current DoD security clearance (secret)
