Job Description
The Assistant Director of Department at The Jewish Board leads a team to support adults with serious mental illness, ensuring they achieve independence and stability. The role involves program oversight, staff supervision, and compliance with regulatory standards, all while promoting a culturally competent and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Social Workers, Case Managers, and Case Associates
Ensure programmatic systems meet clients' safety and service needs
Provide ongoing training and guidance to staff
Participate in case conferences and administrative meetings
Collaborate with other departments for program needs
Conduct apartment administrative walkthroughs
Required Qualifications
LCSW, MSW, or other clinical qualification preferred
Minimum of five years' experience
Experience working with adults diagnosed with mental illness, homelessness, and substance abuse history
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
MPA, MPH, or related degree
Knowledge of housing and supportive housing programs
